1. What MC² Finance is
MC2Fi AG (“MC² Finance”, “we”, “us”) is a software development company. We design, write, audit, document, and publish open‑source decentralised‑finance (“DeFi”) protocol software, and we deploy that software to public blockchains. Once deployed, the smart contracts operate autonomously and permissionlessly: they execute according to their published code, and anyone can interact with them directly on‑chain without our involvement.
This website (the “Site”) is an informational and documentation channel about the protocols we develop. It is not itself a product, a financial service, or a trading venue. Any interface we publish is a convenience front‑end to public smart contracts that you could also call directly.
2. No custody, no management, no financial service
MC² Finance does not, at any time, take custody or control of your digital assets, private keys, or funds. We do not manage assets on your behalf, do not operate an investment fund or scheme, and do not provide investment advice, asset management, brokerage, custody, exchange, or payment services.
When you interact with a protocol we developed, you transact directly with autonomous smart contracts. MC² Finance is not your counterparty, agent, or fiduciary in those transactions and does not control the outcome.
3. No investment or financial advice
All content on the Site — including protocol descriptions, technical documentation, architecture explanations, mechanism illustrations, comparisons, and blog articles — is provided for general information and educational purposes only.
Nothing on the Site constitutes investment, financial, legal, tax, or other professional advice, or a recommendation to acquire, hold, or dispose of any digital asset or to interact with any protocol.
4. No offer or solicitation
Information on the Site about a protocol, its mechanisms, token behaviour, expected yields, fees, or risks does not constitute an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security, financial instrument, or token, nor an invitation to enter into any transaction. Any decision to interact with a deployed protocol is yours alone.
5. Experimental software — do your own research
The protocols we publish are experimental software. Some are unaudited and in an alpha or beta stage. Interacting with them carries a high level of risk, including the possible loss of the entire value of the assets you commit.
You are solely responsible for evaluating the software, verifying contract addresses on‑chain, and understanding how a protocol behaves before interacting with it. Carry out your own research and due diligence and consult independent, suitably qualified advisers where appropriate.
6. Yields and performance figures
Any yield, APY/APR, revenue, or performance figures shown on the Site are produced by the deployed protocol on‑chain or derived from third‑party on‑chain data. They are variable, are not promised, guaranteed, or paid by MC² Finance, and are shown for illustration only.
Past or trailing performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance. Actual results may differ materially from any figure, projection, or example provided.
7. Protocol and technology risks
Interacting with DeFi protocols exposes you to a range of risks, including but not limited to:
- Smart‑contract risk: code may contain bugs, vulnerabilities, or design flaws that lead to partial or total loss, including in unaudited software.
- Market risk: the value of digital assets can rise or fall sharply, affecting the value of any position.
- Liquidity risk: where a protocol relies on secondary‑market liquidity for exit, it may not be possible to sell at the desired time or price; some positions are permanently locked and non‑redeemable by design.
- Oracle, keeper, and parameter risk: protocols may depend on price oracles, automated keepers, and on‑chain parameters, which can fail, be delayed, or behave unexpectedly.
- Network risk: congestion, forks, or changes to underlying blockchains can affect execution.
Any interaction with a protocol, whether or not described on the Site, is entirely at your own risk.
8. Regulatory and tax considerations
The regulatory and tax treatment of digital assets and DeFi activity may change over time and varies between countries and individuals. Such changes can affect the value, tradeability, legality, or tax treatment of any asset or interaction.
You are solely responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you and for understanding the tax consequences of your activity, and you should seek independent professional advice on these matters. You must not interact with a protocol where doing so is prohibited for you.
9. No client relationship
Accessing or using the Site does not create a client, advisory, fiduciary, or similar relationship between you and MC2Fi AG. We do not monitor your personal situation or provide personalised suitability assessments or recommendations.
10. Limitation of responsibility
As far as the law allows, MC2Fi AG and its directors, officers, employees, and agents are not responsible for any loss or damage you may suffer as a result of:
- Your reliance on information, documentation, tools, or materials available on the Site.
- Your decision to interact, or not to interact, with any protocol or smart contract.
- The behaviour, failure, or exploitation of any deployed smart contract, including software we authored.
- Any errors, omissions, interruptions, delays, or technical issues affecting the Site or third‑party services to which it may refer.
